Future Days (Yes)

Ride to the east, for the sake of, Future Days
Fly to the east, for the sake of, Future Days
Lose some sleep, spend some hours, but win some time
Future Days
Come to me, meet me in the Future
Future Days.

What's its like, Future Days
Tall buildings, Future Days?
If there's no big ship, it won't sink
Come; please meet me, in the future
Future Days.

Skies are metallic blue, there's no smoke in your lungs and the Crimson King's Schizoid is imprisoned, in your mind. The evening light bestows you pleasure, the organ is playing to the tunes of your mind. Raise your hands and let the drama in your head flow; you are the enigmatic abstract power, unchained to the iron. Overcome, create. Reinvent yourself.
Shake the hand of your neighbor. Don't pray, open your eyes. Open your mind.
Open your mind
Open your mind
It will not be so bad,
You too will see them, Future Days.

--

Onward, Orc, row your boat, into the Future Days
See me there, the ghost in the bonfire of your death
Like the phoenix I will rise again, sail on to the Future Days.
Yes.

--

Future Days, here they come
To strip away medieval essence
Their bare-fist's Knuckles made me change my clothes
But maybe I will like them even more

From the ashes, the essence will keep eastern
It kept western at Backward Days

Future Days, I will change
My will shall cement my mark
My pride, peeled off of me, with this old armor

Future Days, light the bonfire in my eyes
I feel alright
Twice the size, my fire's everlasting
I feel alright

I am the new man

Or am I?

Future Days, we'll meet again, you are my shelter
Future Days
Yes.

Author's Comments

Hi.

This piece is my latest. I can actually barely write, but this is the product of sheer inspiration.

The picture is something that I found... It's a stairway to heaven, or so to speak... It does relate to this poem (don't actually like to call it a poem.. I call it a Progressive Piece, for its length and unfixed style. But that's only a matter of definition), but think before you conclude.

Comments are very much welcomed!

Cheers

Wow, this is very interesting, very thought-provoking and very good indeed.
It's nice to see something posted by you. Where have you been by the way? It was ages since I last caught a glimpse of you in this jungle we call the net...

This is an excellent poem, it's written in a lyrical, powerful fashion that's much like a travelogue, taking us on a rapid, headlong journey into our future. Your use of description is top notch, it etches your very vivid images into the reader's mind in such a way that your intent is unmistakably clear. The repetition of your “Future Days” theme drives our destination home again and again, and the way you mix your styles throughout the piece keeps us on our toes and interested in where you'll lead us next.
“Don't pray, open your eyes. Open your mind.”
“ From the ashes, the essence will keep eastern
It kept western at Backward Days”
I find these lines fascinating, they seem very topical in today's world. You have a great deal of insight and you're blessed with the ability to translate your thoughts into meaningful art. I see much hope and promise here, not only within the content of this poem, but in your future as a poet as well.

very thoughtful piece. almost asking as big a questions as "why am i here?" etc! it's got a nice rthymn to it as well, flows excellently. Your choice of words fit what you're writing about too! excellent job!
